Read the textile as part of an interior assembly
Color, hand, scale, and weave construction matter, but the surface also meets a substrate, edge condition, cleaning routine, traffic pattern, and installation method. A product conversation is stronger when those conditions are visible before a specification is accepted.
For upholstery, that may mean usable width, repeat, backing, abrasion method, cleaning code, seam planning, and the geometry of the intended seat. For wallcovering, it may mean substrate preparation, backing, pattern match, adhesive, flame-test scope, and ongoing maintenance.
